RAWG is designed to support accurate listings, safer local handoffs and fair resolution when something goes wrong. These summaries explain the marketplace rules that apply to buyers and sellers. Applicable law and the final RAWG Terms control where they provide additional rights or requirements.
Seller eligibility
RAWG does not impose a separate platform age gate. Sellers must accept the current RAWG Seller Terms and Privacy Policy before publishing listings. Stripe Connect is not required to list; it is used when a seller wants to withdraw eligible earnings.
Stripe securely applies identity, age or legal-guardian requirements, tax requirements and payout verification based on the seller and country. RAWG does not store a seller's full bank-account or debit-card details.
What can be sold
RAWG is built for usable, lawful physical goods across clothing, shoes, phones, tablets, bags, watches, jewelry, computers, gaming, cameras, home goods, tools, sports gear, collectibles, kids goods, auto parts and more.
Allowed items publish normally. Needs review items stay private until RAWG clears the safety, ownership, recall or regulatory question. Prohibited items cannot be published.
Examples of items that can require review include certain blades or defensive items, baby safety equipment, medical devices, lithium-battery/transport items, exotic materials, vehicle safety components and electronics with suspicious ownership or identifier signals. Firearms/ammunition and regulated weapon components, explosives/toxic hazardous materials, nicotine/tobacco/alcohol products, recreational drugs, prescription/controlled medicines, recalled goods, stolen goods, counterfeit goods, illegal wildlife contraband and identity/financial credentials are prohibited. Additional restrictions can apply based on law, safety requirements and marketplace/payment-provider rules.
Payout onboarding
Seller payout onboarding is embedded inside a RAWG-branded experience using Stripe Connect. Sellers can create listings after their RAWG seller profile is active. Stripe payout setup can be completed later, before withdrawing eligible earnings.
Standard bank payouts can be offered without a RAWG withdrawal fee. Optional Instant Cash Out may carry a clearly disclosed convenience fee where available and permitted.
Returns
Eligible buyer-remorse returns may be subject to a 5% return handling fee where permitted by law. Examples can include changed-mind, preference or fit-based returns when the listing was materially accurate.
A buyer should not be charged the return handling fee when RAWG determines the item was materially not as described, counterfeit, the wrong item, or had undisclosed material damage.
Preventing returns
RAWG sellers are guided to capture the front, back, brand tag, size/material tag, condition, flaws and detail views. Measurements and honest condition notes improve RAW Fidelity and help buyers make better decisions before checkout.
Seller responsibility
If RAWG verifies that a refund, dispute, chargeback or other loss was caused by a materially inaccurate or deceptive listing, counterfeit item, undisclosed material damage, wrong item, prohibited product or seller fraud, RAWG may recover seller-caused losses as permitted by law and payment-provider rules.
Recovery may come from the seller's RAWG balance, future earnings, a Stripe transfer reversal, or connected-account negative-balance recovery when enabled and permitted.
Buyer fraud is different
A chargeback does not automatically mean the seller is at fault. RAWG reviews buyer-fraud and friendly-fraud cases separately and can preserve seller funds while evidence is reviewed or a dispute is challenged.
Seller delivery
Sellers can offer local delivery and set a buyer-facing delivery fee and delivery radius. The delivery fee is shown before payment and is treated as seller fulfillment earnings. At handoff, the buyer inspects the item and then shares a one-time RAWG Handshake PIN with the seller to confirm receipt.
The seller cannot see the PIN in advance and cannot mark a local delivery complete without the buyer-controlled code.
Safe public pickup
RAWG pickup is designed for verified public locations rather than private residences. The buyer chooses an eligible public place during checkout. Both buyer and seller must GPS check in at that location before the seller can enter the buyer-controlled RAWG Handshake PIN.
If verified-place search or location services are unavailable, RAWG should not offer local pickup for that transaction.
Verified reviews
Only participants in a completed RAWG transaction can review one another. Buyer and seller reviews stay blind until both parties submit or the review window closes, helping reduce retaliatory ratings.
Buyer reviews contribute to seller trust, reach and Power Seller eligibility. Seller reviews contribute to buyer reputation for communication and reliable local handoffs.
Seller trust & reach
Verified reviews, complaints, seller-fault disputes, fulfillment reliability and listing quality contribute to seller trust. Strong sellers can earn Power Seller status and stronger organic reach. Repeated verified problems can reduce distribution or selling access.
Enforcement
RAWG can place accounts under review, hold payouts, reduce listing distribution, suspend selling, or delist sellers after repeated verified violations. Serious conduct such as counterfeit goods or fraud can move directly to stronger enforcement.
Location privacy
RAWG does not place buyer or seller street addresses into discovery signals or seller notifications. Nearby discovery uses reduced-precision location data. A buyer-entered address is used only for the transaction purpose that requires it, such as checking seller-delivery eligibility. Safe pickup uses the selected public-place address instead of a home address.
Home addresses are not broadcast through RAWG discovery. Location checks are limited to what is needed to show nearby goods, confirm delivery eligibility or verify a public-place handoff.
RAWG Promoter Points
Eligible RAWG Promoters receive a trackable referral link or code. When a referred buyer completes an eligible paid purchase, RAWG can award promotional RAWG Points to the promoter under the current program rules.
RAWG Points are promotional marketplace credits, not cash, and cannot be withdrawn or transferred for cash. Eligible points can be applied toward RAWG buyer service fees, eligible carrier shipping, or qualifying purchase credits shown at checkout. The current program uses a configurable conversion shown in the promoter dashboard before redemption.
Points can be withheld, reversed or adjusted when a referred transaction is refunded, canceled, charged back, fraudulent, self-referred or otherwise ineligible. RAWG can change future earning rates, redemption limits or eligibility with notice where required.
Privacy Policy
RAWG uses account, transaction, catalog and limited location information to operate the marketplace. Seller home addresses are not exposed in discovery. Nearby search uses privacy bands and reduced-precision location signals. Buyer-entered addresses are used only when needed for shipping, seller-delivery eligibility or public-pickup planning.
RAWG does not intentionally place full bank-account or debit-card details into its marketplace database. Stripe handles supported payout identity and banking information. Seller-captured full-resolution item originals remain on the seller device in RAWG's device-first catalog. RAWG may retain one compressed marketplace/archive thumbnail per listing so active discovery, transaction history, verified reviews, disputes and sold archives can remain usable if a seller changes phones or deletes local originals. RAWG does not use that lightweight thumbnail archive as a second full-resolution photo library.
Looking For reference images: in the v0.4.14 browser flow, a buyer can select a photo or screenshot on their device to help describe a wanted item. RAWG stores the labels the buyer submits and, when supported, a one-way file fingerprint for matching/deduplication; the selected reference-image bytes are not uploaded to RAWG cloud storage by this flow.
For international discovery, RAWG can use country/region marketplace metadata and buyer-selected discovery scope. That does not change the rule that exact home locations are not public discovery data.
Cookie Policy & Preferences
RAWG uses essential browser storage and cookies needed for security, account/session continuity, checkout state and remembering privacy choices. Optional analytics, personalization and marketing categories are kept off unless the user allows them through RAWG Cookie Settings.
Users can accept all optional categories, reject non-essential categories, or make category-by-category choices. Preferences can be changed later through the Cookie Settings link shown in the site footer.
Consent controls are designed to support regional privacy requirements, but RAWG should complete country/region-specific legal review, retention rules, processor disclosures and localized notices before claiming compliance in a new jurisdiction.
International discovery
RAWG may let users browse or create Looking For requests using Nearby, Country or Worldwide discovery scopes. Discovery does not guarantee that a seller can legally sell, ship or receive payment for an item in every country.
Current checkout remains USD/Stripe-sandbox based in this build. Multi-currency settlement, country-specific taxes, duties, shipping eligibility, product restrictions and localized consumer rights must be enabled and validated market by market before RAWG represents those commerce capabilities as live.
RAWG Terms
Users must provide accurate information, use RAWG only for lawful marketplace activity, follow product restrictions, respect other users, and complete transactions through approved RAWG payment and fulfillment flows. RAWG may review, limit, remove or suspend content, listings or accounts when needed for safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention or marketplace integrity.
Fees, return rules, fulfillment requirements and other transaction terms are shown before they apply. Applicable law may provide additional rights that these summaries do not limit.
Seller Terms
Sellers must own or have authority to sell the goods they list, accurately describe condition and identity, disclose material flaws, use truthful RAW Capture media, and avoid counterfeit, stolen, recalled or otherwise prohibited goods. Items placed into policy review cannot be offered for sale until RAWG clears them.
Sellers are responsible for completing the chosen fulfillment method, responding to verified transaction issues, and setting up Stripe Connect before withdrawing eligible earnings. RAWG may recover verified seller-caused losses from available balances or future earnings where permitted.
Buyer Terms
Buyers must use accurate payment and fulfillment information, inspect local-handoff items before sharing a RAWG Handshake PIN, and use reviews, disputes and return requests honestly. A saved or carted item is not reserved until payment succeeds, so another buyer may purchase it first.
RAWG charges a buyer service fee equal to 10% of the item price, capped at $15 per item. The fee is shown before payment. Shipping, seller delivery and applicable taxes are separate when they apply.
Eligible buyer-remorse returns may include the disclosed handling fee where permitted. Seller-fault returns are treated separately under RAWG marketplace policy.
